Stacked boards contained within a metal frame. The wild, knotty nature of the pine is juxtaposed by the slim, modern profile of the metal edge aiming to create balance between the natural and man-made.

Using oak wood flooring planks, my father and I designed and built this table in his garage. We had the metal legs fabricated at a local shop, and they are mounted with metal bolts. It seats 6 people comfortably, and can withstand more weight than I will ever impose.

This coffee table design is simply based on stacked wood pallets. The table is set on casters for mobility. My father and I custom-made this piece in order to control the dimensions. At and at a perfect square, the table inhabits the space well in any orientation.
